The aim of this work is the study of Congo Red removal from water by adsorption onto Zn4Al-CO3 type layered double hydroxide prepared from zinc ash. The preparation consist in dissolution of zinc ash with hydrochloric acid followed by synthesis of LDH by co-precipitation of zinc chloride with aluminum salt in alkaline media.
