NAVIGATION USERS OF MULTI-GNSS CODE RECEIVERS

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Cezary Specht)

Over the next few years, the number of satellites of the currently operating navigation satellite systems (GPS, GLONASS) and those under construction (BDS, Galileo), as well as other supporting solutions, will amount to approx. 140 units. As a result, users of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), who nowadays most frequently have mobile phones at their disposal, have an opportunity to simultaneously use satellites of several different constellations. A constant increase in the number of available satellites...

In March 2017, the President of the Republic of Poland signed the European Agreement on Main Inland Waterways of International Importance, also known as the AGN convention. The convention and the Directive 2005/44/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on harmonised River Information Services (RIS) on inland waterways in the Community, together with a number of European Commission regulations, establish a coherent legal system to facilitate the coordination of development plans and in...

Recent years have brought rapid development of GNSS and supplementary SBAS and GBAS systems. Depending on the needs of a given real-time positioning domain, users can obtain several meters (GNSS + SBAS) or several centimeters (GNSS + GBAS) accuracies. Active (local) geodetic networks belonging to GBAS, through the permanent nature of the work and constant satellite observations recording, allow achieving even greater accuracies through post-processing elaboration. The paper presents in a uniform manner the charact...
