The aim of this paper is to present a multi-criteria analysis of three software tools for simulation and design of conveyor systems: ExtendSim, Sidewinder Conveyor Design and Tecnomatix Plant Simulation. The evaluation is based on five key criteria: hardware requirements, visualization and 3D animation, functional breadth, user-friendliness, and level of proficiency.
