COMPOUND MODELING OF TRUCK-SHOVEL SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING THE OPTIMIZED TRAVELLING PATH BASED ON TSP MODELING

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, A. Sadri, M. Ataeepour, R. S. Gargari)

The process of truck shovel assignment for optimization of the transport systems in open pit mining is performed using software models and algorithms. With the aid of the software and hardware mechanisms, great steps can be taken in intelligent assignment and control of truck shovel systems. In this paper, open pit mining transport system has been modeled based on TSP modeling. Using genetic algorithms, the optimized travelling path for trucks has been obtained. The software has the capability of compound modeling...

DEVELOPMENT OF A SOFTWARE FOR ASSIGNMENT OF N TRUCKS TO M SHOVELS WITH DIFFERENT MINERAL GRADES BASED ON DYNAMIC PROGRAMMING ALGORITHM

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, A. Sadri, M. Ataeepour, R. S. Gargari)

The truck and shovel transportation system is the most important part of the open pit mining operation because a considerable amount of the total mining costs is related to it. Reducing the transportation cost has a great impact on reduction of the total cost. One method to reduce the cost per ton in transportation systems is the optimization of the truck–shovel assignment. In this paper, software has been developed for optimal assignment of N trucks to M shovels with different grades of the minerals, based on m...

INTEGRATION OF GEOTECHNICAL SOLUTIONS IN THE WASTE MANAGEMENT AT THE DOICESTI THERMOELECTRIC POWER STATION, DAMBOVITA, ROMANIA

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, A. Istrate, M. N. Frinculeasa, A. M. Dragne)

The legislative framework for the environmental protection in Romania, as a European Union member state, has carried a new approach in the management of the perimeters affected by the industrial activities. At the national level, efforts are made to implement a number of projects (e.g. ISPA [The Instrument for Structural Policies for Preaccession] – Environment) that would lead to a better administration of waste materials associated with these activities (e.g. recycling in the economic circuit or the easy reint...

MINING OF BROWN COAL AND DUMP RECLAMATION IN NORTH - WESTERN BOHEMIA

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, M. Rehor, T. Lang, V. Ondracek)

Nowadays the importance of brown coal as a raw material is caused by growing needs of power in the Czech Republic. It namely concerns the only major domestic fossil raw material without which our country would become fully depended on the import of energy resources. Over 70\% brown coal reserves have been exploited in the North- Bohemian Basin today. Opencast mining of brown coal naturally led to vast landscape damages. Therefore reclamation work has acquired great significance. Brown coal is mined in four general...

ON STRESS-DEFORMED STATE OF ROCK MASS

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, V. Driban)

Analytical model of the stress-deformed state of the rock mass in production mining is proposed. In comparison with conventional ones, the model takes into account the depth of coal extraction, thickness seam and the existence of the total zone of mining subsidence displacement. As is shown by calculations, effect of said factors results in complete reconsideration of the stress-strain state pattern of the rock mass and may serve as the basis for the development of mining subsidence displacement theory.

ROCKFALL HAZARD MAPPING USING GIS SOFTWARE: AN APPLICATION IN A SELECTED AREA FROM SEBINKARAHISAR (GIRESUN-TURKEY)

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, I. Yilmaz, I. Keskin, M. Yildrim, B. Civelekoglu)

Rockfalls are natural process of cliff and hillside erosion, can be simulated by the computer programs. They consist of large rock fragments from a cliff, or boulders from a slope that bounce, roll, and slide down a hillside and come to rest in a “runout” zone at or near its base. Rockfalls are a major hazard in rock cuts for highways and railways, and in mountainous terrain. Rockfalls are generally initiated by some climatic or biological event that causes a change in the forces acting on a rock. These events...

THE BERBESTI COAL FIELD, ROMANIA EFFECTS AND IMPACT ON ENVIRONMENT

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, A. Istrate, M. N. Frinculeasa, A. M. Dragne)

The demands existing at the European Union level impose a new approach of the problems concerning the mining exploitation from the point of view of the effects and pressure exerted by them over the environment and of all the consequences of the socioeconomic development. Starting from the strategic objectives imposed by the European programmes at the environment-protection level, corroborated with the rather slow rhythm of reform of the Romanian mining industry determined by the delay concerning the achievement, i...

THE IMPACT PROGRAMME. EUROPEAN STRUCTURAL FUNDS FOR ROMANIAN RESEARCH "MULTIDISCIPLINARY REGIONAL CENTER OF RESEARCH-ENVIRONMENTAL GEOLOGY DEVELOPMENT"

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, A. Istrate, M. N. Frinculeasa, A. M. Dragne)

Romania’s joining the European Union implies its convergence with the economic European Space, both at a nominal and at a real space. The IMPACT programme stimulates the development of living research development projects and innovation through which directions of the Lisbon strategy of the European Union may contribute to improve the process of convergence and reduce regional disparities by absorbing structural funds devoted to research, technological development and innovation. The Valahia University of Targov...
