CALCULATION AND ANALYSIS OF ENERGY CONSUMPTION INDEX FOR HEATING PUSPOSES IN A COMMON DWELLING BUILDING IN ROMANIA, IN DIFFERENT VARIANTS OF THERMAL INSULATION AND VENTILATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Florin Babota, LIGIA MOGA, C. Aciu, C. Munteanu, D. R. Tamas-Gavrea)

The present paper analyzes - from the point of view of the energy consumption - a residential building in Romania, of usual construction, in order to fit it into the energy certification grid for heating [1]. The study was conducted for 8 thermal insulation variants with a thickness between 5 and 40 cm, each in 3 ventilation cases, in a total of 24 cases [2]. In order to determine the energy performance of the building, the CIMPSPAT expert calculation program was used [9], with the high-precision numerical method ...

COMPARATIVE CONSUMPTION AND COST ANALYSIS OF HEATING USING CENTRAL HEATING UNIT (CHU) RESPECTIVELY BY CONDENSATION CENTRAL HEATING UNIT (CCHU) FOR BUILDINGS LOCATED IN ROMANIA

The calculation program EnergoCost V.1 [8] was developed in order to choose a heating system that would generate minimal costs both in terms of initial investment and energy consumption over time. Thus, it is possible to determine the evolution in time of the energy costs for heating the building, using different energy sources and thermal devices. The results are displayed numerically but also graphically, being very intuitive, and any user of this program can easily interpret these results, choosing the final op...

THERMAL PERFORMANCE OF GROUND CONTACT STRUCTURES AND THEIR IMPACT ON THE ENERGY PERFORMANCE OF BUILDINGS

Buildings account for significant energy consumptions in the global consumptions, according to the International Energy Agency. The path towards 2050 is that of nearly Zero Energy Buildings (nZEB), a path that should change the way that buildings are designed in current practice. The design of a buildingпїЅs envelope is always focusing more on the heat transfer of top components (i.e. exterior walls, terraces, roofs) and less on the heat transfer in bottom components (i.e. floors on the ground, walls in contact wi...

A better energy efficiency of a building can be obtained by implementing passive and active energy efficient design strategies. The initial design phase starts with implementation of several passive strategies, i.e. strong thermally insulated building envelope, buildingпїЅs orientation, windows placement, and buildingпїЅs aspect ratio, window to wall ratio, use of thermal mass, natural lighting, shadings and other solutions. However, looking at how building are designed, built and operated nowadays, it can be obse...
