METHODOLOGY OF MODELING THE DETECTION OF LIMESCALE DEPOSITS IN SANITARY INSTALLATIONS

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, Adrian Czajkowski, Leszek Remiorz, Sebastian Pawlak, Eryk Remiorz, Jakub Szyguła)

The article presents the issue of scale deposits in sanitary installations. Scale contributes to improper operation of sanitary devices and leads to their degradation. Scale build-up in pipes and measuring elements results in higher water consumption due to inaccurate estimation of this resource consumption. The consequence is that devices based on process automation do not work properly due to disturbances in the actual water flow. The formation of deposits also leads to economic and ecological losses, as sanitar...

RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES AS AN ELEMENT OF EUROPEAN GREEN DEAL AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPNEMT GOALS (SDG)

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, Adrian Czajkowski, Nikolina Poranek, Leszek Remiorz)

Global warming is a dangerous phenomenon caused by anthropogenic environmental pollution. Renewable energy sources (RES) contribute to minimizing CO2 emissions. At the 26th meeting of the conference of the Parties (COP26), goals to reduce net emissions were set as soon as possible. At the same time, the European Commission has set the goal of achieving zero net emissions by 2050. Thermal transformation of conventional energy carriers causes the depletion of natural resources, the formation of secondary waste, and ...

EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON THE INFLUENCE OF VARIABLE GAS HUMIDITY OF CO2 / N2 MIXTURE IN THE CONTEXT OF CO2 SEPARATION FROM COMBUSTION GASES IN POWER PLANTS ON SELECTIVITY AND OTHER SEPARATION PARAMETERS OF CAPILLARY POLYMER MEMBRANE

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Grzegorz Wiciak, Leszek Remiorz)

In the article the results of research of variable humidity of CO2/N2 gas mixture (simulating power exhausts) influence on the parameters of CO2 separation are presented. The capillary polymer membrane AMS-A2 UBE was applied in the study. The paper indicates, results of the experiment where influence of variable (in the range of 0пїЅ100% H2O) humidity on a membrane was investigated Research was performed on the membrane used to dehumidify air - Air Dryer AMS-A2, utilized earlier to identify the ability of the CO2 s...

IMPROVEMENT IN AN ELEMENTARY THERMOACOUSTIC COOLER PERFORMANCE - NUMERICAL APPROACH

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Krzysztof Grzywnowicz, Leszek Remiorz)

In this paper, resolve of improvement methods of performance of an elementary thermoacoustic cooler using the CFD approach was investigated. The research is based on preparing of possibly most accurate mathematical model of already constructed elementary cooling device and accomplishment of its further numerical analyses using commercially available numerical environment. In order to determine adequate methods of performance improvement, relevant changes in boundary conditions - concerning device geometry, materia...
