CHARACTERISATION OF GENETIC DIVERSITY OF SOME BREAD WHEAT GROWN IN SEMI-ARID ENVIRONMENT IN ALGERIA USING SSR MARKERS

(STEF92 Technology, 2023-12-15, Kara Karima, Malika Rached-Kanouni, Zerrouki Alia)

The assessment of genetic diversity is a key step in evaluating the adaptation of populations to new environmental conditions, and thus in the selection of new cultivars. The present investigation aimed to assess genetic variability of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) genotypes grown in Algeria. The 17 hexaploid genotypes of bread wheat were assessed using 16 molecular microsatellites of SSR (Simple Sequence Repeat). Among the 16 microsatellite markers tested, only 11 markers were the most polymorphic and reprod...

ANALYSIS OF THE FLORISTIC DIVERSITY OF THE SIDI R-GHIES FOREST (EAST OF ALGERIA)

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Malika Rached-Kanouni)

Managed by the Conservation of Forests of Oum El Bouaghi, the forest of Sidi R?Ghies which is primarily for forestry covers an area of 3106 hectares. This area consists of several species. The current ecological status of the forest is poorly understood. The precise knowledge of existing forest resources and their evolution has become indispensable. The objective of our study is to collect data on the current environmental status of the site and timber resources in order to establish a reference state (zero state)...

STRUCTURE INDICES OF ALEPPO PINE IN CHETTABA FOREST (ALGERIA)

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-12-05, Malika Rached-Kanouni)

Stand structural diversity, defined as the diversity of trees in stands, can be indicative of overall biodiversity and habitat suitability, useful in forecasting stand growth, and provide within stand detail for forest inventories. The diversity analysis provides more detail to the traditional stand structure descriptions and enables the approach to stand management more consistent not only with the timber production, but also with other productions and values of the multi-benefit forest stands, and/or transformat...

STUDY OF THE STABILITY OF ALEPPO PINE WITH A VIEW TO A SYLVICULTURAL MANAGEMENT PLAN

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Malika Rached-Kanouni)

This work, which was conducted in the Chettaba forest, focuses on the sylvicultural treatment of Pines during its first natural regeneration. It will ultimately emphasize the importance of forestry sustainability. This sustainability consists of the rational management that should begin right after the exploitation as well as during all stages of growth. In fact, it appears that during the past couple of years, forestry exploitation seems to occur in destructive and illegal ways and that restoring processes are no...
