INFLUENCE OF REINFORCEMENT REBARS MODELING IN CONCRETE STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS ON TRANSIENT-THERMAL CALCULATIONS

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, Jakub Rubint, Norbert Jendželovský)

The development of transport requires new transport routes. When designing and implementing them, we cannot avoid the construction of tunnels in our mountainous country. One part of the static design of the tunnel is the assessment of the structure on fire. The fire of cars in road tunnels can be modeled more and more accurately thanks to improving numerical models (CFD simulations, Fire Dynamics Simulator FDS [1]) as well as an extreme increase in computer performance. The results of these investigations are appl...

MULTI-LAYERED BASE PLATES

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, Norbert Jendželovský, Ľubomír Prekop)

At present, in time of sustainable environment, people views are increasingly focused on the energy performance of buildings. In recent years, there has been a huge increase in the rate of insulation of buildings. Thermal insulation of facades and roofs of buildings has been theoretically mastered and practically realized. Recently, we have also encountered thermal insulation of foundation structures to prevent heat leakage through massive concrete foundation structures into the subgrade. As clear from the availab...

ANALYSIS OF THIN-WALLED BEAM ON ELASTIC FOUNDATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Ľubomír Prekop, Norbert Jendželovský)

The paper deals with an analysis of an endless thin-walled beam on an elastic subsoil. Winkler's subsoil model has been used for modeling the subsoil. The analysis is presented in an analytical form for beams of infinite length. The analytical solution includes the analysis of both bending and torsion of the beam. In the solution of the bending of the beam, the effects of shear forces have been taken into account. For torsion analysis, an open cross-section has been considered, including the effect of cross-sectio...

AERODYNAMIC SIMULATIONS OF THE HIGH-RISE BUILDING'S ROOF USED AS A SOCIAL PLACE

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Roland Antal, Norbert Jendzelovsky)

Currently, the trend is to increase the demand for high-rise buildings roofs that would serve as a social space or as a green roof. This trend is also confirmed by the fact that due to the lack of space in the city, the buildings are being built up even higher and the social space needs to be created as a part of them. The main idea of this article was to analyze the different shapes of the roofs using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation software and to demonstrate the suitability of their use. From seve...

DAMAGE ANALYSIS OF THE INDUSTRIAL FLOOR IN THE STORAGE HALL

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Dominika Tomasovicova, Norbert Jendzelovsky, Doc. Pavol Marton)

This article discusses typical problem of industrial floors, i.e. cracks. Slight cracks are usually effect of volume changes such as shrinkage and creep. There are also other reasons why cracks appear. For example: inappropriate design, heavier load than expected or wrong realization of the concrete slab. Cracks, which are caused by mentioned reasons, are wider and deeper. Wide and deep cracks can cause another defects such as concrete crumbling along the crack. They can be a problem for maintenance and service li...
