CHECKING THE STANDS OF THE CONTINUOUS CASTING MACHINE WITH A TOTAL STATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2023-10-01, Oleksandr Adamenko, O. V. Martynov)

The use of a total station for carrying out high-precision work on the alignment of the stands of a continuous casting machine is an urgent task that directly affects the quality of steel. Modern devices such as laser trackers are used to carry out such work, but their use is limited due to the high cost of equipment, the need for knowledge and experience with such equipment. The use of classical techniques and equipment is subject to a huge influence of the human factor, thereby reducing the quality of work. Simi...

REAL-TIME GEODETIC MEASUREMENTS OF ROTARY MACHINES

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, S. G. Mogilny, Andrei Sholomitskii, O. V. Martynov)

Large rotary drum machines are often used in technological lines for continuous production. These are complex structures which during operation are exposed to stresses and deformations under the influence of temperature and stress. To determine the geometric parameters of such units in this paper we propose to use a total station. The basic idea of the method is remote real-time geodetic measurement of the machine parameters in the reflectorless mode. The task posed is solved by simultaneous measuring of the point...
