ASSESSMENT OF BIOCHAR'S ABILITY TO ADSORB MOBILE GENETIC ELEMENTS INCLUDING ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANCE GENES

(STEF92 Technology, 2023-10-01, Polina Kuryntseva, Kamalya Karamova, Svetlana Selivanovskaya, Polina Galitskaya)

Biochar is a highly porous pyrolysis product with a high specific surface area and adsorption properties, capable of adsorbing various compounds and formations, including ARG-containing MGEs. To assess the ability of biochar to adsorb MGE, a model experiment was carried out: in sterill flasks, the microbial community isolated from composts was cultivated on LB-medium, oxytetracycline and a mixture of heavy metals were added as factors potentially stimulating the production of MGE. Neither heavy metals nor oxytetra...

COMPARATIVE STUDY OF EXTRACTION METHODS FOR THE DETERMINATION OF PAHS IN SOILS USING GC-MS

(STEF92 Technology, 2023-10-01, Alina Kamalova, Polina Galitskaya, Alexander Gordeev, Aliia N. Khamieva, Polina Kuryntseva)

Soil contamination by polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) is a widespread concern due to the high potential for human exposure through inhalation, ingestion, and dermal contact. In this study, we compared the efficiency of three different methods for PAHs extraction from model samples, including ultrasonic (US), mechanical shaking and purification with commercial QuEChERS kit (Shq), and ultrasonic extraction coupled with QuEChERS (USq) by gas chromatography coupled to a triple quadrupole tandem mass-spectromet...

EVALUATION OF THE EFFECT OF SURFACTANT ON SRB ACTIVITY DURING EOR

(STEF92 Technology, 2023-10-01, Liliya Biktasheva, Alexander Gordeev, Ilsina Gilmutdinova, Svetlana Selivanovskaya, Polina Galitskaya)

Surfactants play an important role in enhanced oil recovery by creating an oil-water emulsion that will be easier to recover from the reservoir. It is known that sulfatereducing bacteria (SRB) can use surfactants as a carbon source, which can increase the biological accumulation of sulfides and, accordingly, the corrosion of oil production equipment. Thus, all new surfactants used in oil production need to be pre-tested for SRB. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of four new groups of synthesized sur...

SELECTION OF CONDITIONS FOR CULTIVATION OF MICROALGAE- CARBON SEQESTRATORS

(STEF92 Technology, 2023-10-01, Darina Glazunova, Ilsina Gilmutdinova, Polina Kuryntseva, Polina Galitskaya, Svetlana Selivanovskaya)

The use of microalgae as carbon sequestrators requires optimization of the cultivation process. Growth curves for three types of microalgae were plotted. The growth was carried out at different temperatures 30 and 35 ? and with initially different concentrations of inoculum 30 and 3% in order to assess the possibility of growing crops at the lowest cost and with a high yield of a useful product. We used 3 strains of microalgae - potential sequestrators. The introduction of the inoculum at a dose of 30% led to an a...

SUPPRESSION OF FUNGAL PHYTOPATHOGENS (FUSARIUM SPP AND ALTERNARIA SPP) ON THE TOMATO LEAVES BY THE RHAMNOLIPIDS PRODUCED BY PSEUDOMONAS AERUGINOSA PAO1

(STEF92 Technology, 2023-10-01, Gulnaz Galieva, Guliua Sageeva, A. M. Gordeev, Polina Kuryntseva, Polina Galitskaya)

Suppression of fungal phytopathogens is one of the serious challenges agriculture and forestry since they cause significant biomass and yield losses. One of the alternative methods of suppression phytopathogens is the use of biosurfactants, which are amphiphilic substances produced by many microbes. Bacteria of Pseudomonas genus are known to produce biosurfactants of the rhamnolipid class. These surfactants can possess antimicrobial and fungicidal properties. In this work, we studied the effect of various concentr...
