This paper discusses the preliminary results from the monitoring project of two contaminated sites (Predajna I and II) related to the former petrochemical industry (refinery) in the central Slovakia, and the waste generated by this industry. Waste product arising from this process are acid tars called ?gudron? in the Slovakian terminology.
