FACULTATIVE METHANOTROPHIC MICROORGANISMS OF PERMAFROST AND NON-PERMAFROST SYSTEMS OF CENTRAL SIBERIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-12-20, Valeriy Kadutskiy, Светлана Евграфова, Svetlana V. Prudnikova)

Methanotrophic bacteria are an essential component of Arctic ecosystems in terms of methane emission regulation. They act like a natural sink of methane and are able to oxidize up to 80% of methane emitted from permafrost soils. In Arctic regions, methanotrophy is related to methane oxidizing activity of bacteria, associated with mosses or lichens [1]. This cooperation provides protection and habitat to bacteria, while mosses and lichens obtain CO2 as a carbon source, which emit during methane oxidation as by-prod...

THE DEVELOPMENT OF SLOW-RELEASED FUNGICIDE PREPARATIONS BASED ON BIODEGRADABLE POLY(3-HYDROXYBUTYRATE) TO SUPPRESS ROOT-ROT PATHOGENIC FUNGI

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-12-05, Svetlana V. Prudnikova)

The use of chemical crop protection products takes the lead in worldwide agricultural technologies. However, a significant part of pesticides does not achieve the goals, disperses in the environment, and accumulates in crops and food products. Targeted and controlled delivery of pesticides helps to decrease the overuse of chemicals due to the prolonged gradual release of active ingredients from matrices and maintaining of effective concentration in the application zone. The aim of this study was to evaluate the ef...

POTENTIAL APPLICATION OF BIODEGRADABLE POLYMER - POLY(3-HYDROXYBUTYRATE) - IN DESIGNING OF NEW GENERATION FORMULATIONS OF AGROCHEMICALS

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-11-20, Svetlana V. Prudnikova)

The work summarizes the results of research into fundamentals of design and application of slow-release and ecologically safe forms of agrochemicals used for protecting plants from pathogens and weeds. The potential of degradable polyester poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) [P(3HB)] for designing long-term formulations of fungicides (tebuconazole) and herbicides (metribuzin) is described. Experimental forms of agricultural preparations were compared with the commercial fungicide Raxil Ultra containing tebuconazole and Sencor...
