TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS FOR THE EXTRACTION OF HEAVY METALS AND PETROLEUM PRODUCTS FROM WASTEWATER BY ELECTROFLOTATION WITH SUBSEQUENT FILTRATION AND SORPTION ON ACTIVATED CARBONS

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, V. А. Brodskiy, Anna Perfileva, Valeriy Ilin, Pavel Kisilenko, Yulia Malkova)

Activity of many industrial enterprises is accompanied with considerable amount of liquid technogenic waste products containing toxic heavy and non-ferrous metal ions as well as petroleum products, oils, and surfactants that are discharged to surface water together with waste water and used technical solutions. Therefore, efficient wastewater treatment is one of the main directions to decrease the industrial negative impact on the environment. The main sour?es of wastewater pollution with heavy and non-ferrous met...

The present study has been dedicated on the removal process of heavy metal ions from electrolyte solutions by using methods of electroflotation and subsequent filtration in a multi-component system with the presence of various surfactants of different nature. The research was conducted in a five-component system comprising ions of iron (II), nickel (II), copper (II), plumbum (II), and zinc (II) (the total concentration of metal ions is 200 mg/l). The research was conducted in a highly concentrated electrolyte solu...

THE RECYCLING OF TAILING WASTES OF CALCIUM CHLORIDE FOR OBTAING ADDITIONAL END PRODUCT

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-12-20, Kseniya Inshakova, V. А. Brodskiy, Elena Rudakovskaya, Valeria Osipchik, Victoria Soboleva)

Liquid industrial wastes from the production of calcium chloride represent CaCl2 solutions with different impurities, most notably ferric ion (III). This article analyses sparingly soluble iron (III) compounds removal from CaCl2 via electroflotation. We determined the optimal pH value for sparingly soluble iron compounds removal from CaCl2 via electroflotation followed by filtration. The iron compounds removal in a most complete manner was found at ?? 6 - 7. Polyelectrolyte (flocculating agents) and surfactants we...

EFFECTS OF ELECTROKINETIC POTENTIAL, SIZE AND SOLUBILITY OF THE DISPERSED PHASE OF SLIGHTLY SOLUBLE COMPOUNDS OF ALUMINUM (III), ZINC (II) AND PLUMBUM (II) RELATED TO EFFICIENCY OF THEIR SOLIDARY EXTRACTION FROM THEIR AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS THROUGH ELECTROFLOTATION AND FILTRATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, V. А. Brodskiy)

The research studied the effects of solubility, disperse features (Z average diameter dav, and charge (?-potential) of the particles of heavy-metal slightly soluble compounds exemplified by aluminum (III), zinc (II) and plumbum (II) hydrates related to efficiency of their removal from aqueous solutions in the composition of 2- and 3-component systems by means of electroflotation and filtration within a wide pH-range (5 ? 12). The metals in question demonstrate various pH-values of hydrates formation and solution. ...

INFLUENCE OF THE PRECIPTATOR ION ON THE EFFICIENCY OF NON-FERROUS METAL IONS EXTRACTION FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS THROUGH ELECTROFLOTATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, V. А. Brodskiy)

The research studied the effects of solubility, disperse features (Z-average diameter dav, and charge (?-potential) of the particles of non ferrous-metal slightly soluble compounds of different natures exemplified by hydrates, carbonates, phosphates and sulfides of cuprum(II) and nickel(II) related to efficiency of their extraction from aqueous solutions through electroflotation. The research showed that minimum solubility of the dispersed-phase? particles of cuprum(II) and nickel (II) cannot be used to predict th...
