SOIL CONTAMINATION IN THE PROXIMITY OF THE HISTORICAL COPPER SMELTER - A REVIEW

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Moga, L., Moga, I., Krajnikova, K., Mandicak, T.)

Soil pollution with heavy metals is a major global environmental problem for many ecosystems. The exploitation and processing of non-ferrous ores are one of the most important anthropogenic sources of soils contamination with heavy metals. Romania is a rich country in mineral resources, therefore it has a long history of their exploitation. In this regard, there are several areas for the non-ferrous ores extraction, and one of them is located in the Metaliferi Mountains, where the tradition in gold, silver and oth...

CORE-SHELL PIGMENTS BASED ON MICROCALCITE WITH PHOSPHATE AND PHOSPHONATE/AMINE SHELLS

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Kayumov, Aydar)

The use of corrosion inhibitors in the paint materials is an important task, since inhibitors often cannot be included individually in the paint formulation directly. In this case, corrosion inhibitor having a high affinity to the surface of a substrate and a plasticizing effect in relation to the film-forming base of the formed coating can have a negative impact on its adhesion and physical and mechanical properties. One of the ways to eliminate this disadvantage is the use of immobilized inhibitors, in particula...

DEVELOPMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY OF BI-CENTRIC AGGLOMERATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Kuta, D., Endel, St., Hurdalkova, L.)

The cornerstone of metropolitan areas of the Czech Republic is the so-called integrated system of centres, characterized by a high degree of territorial concentration of the population of economic phenomena, and a high level of internal functional interconnections. Territorial intensity and concentration of interactions within metropolitan areas are mainly reflected in the volume of labour and school commuting, as well as economic activity, as a result of the number and location of job opportunities. Hradec Kr?lov...

STUDY OF THE STABILITY OF ALEPPO PINE WITH A VIEW TO A SYLVICULTURAL MANAGEMENT PLAN

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Rached-Kanouni, M., Kara, K., HADEF, A.)

This work, which was conducted in the Chettaba forest, focuses on the sylvicultural treatment of Pines during its first natural regeneration. It will ultimately emphasize the importance of forestry sustainability. This sustainability consists of the rational management that should begin right after the exploitation as well as during all stages of growth. In fact, it appears that during the past couple of years, forestry exploitation seems to occur in destructive and illegal ways and that restoring processes are no...

REDUCED PHAGOCYTOSIS AS AFFECTED BY MARINE OIL

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Al-Khalaifah, Hanan)

Use of fish meals or oils in the poultry diets has made it possible to increase the level of long chain n-3 fatty acids in meat. When meat is enriched with polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), all vegatble fat sources are less effective than marine fats. This effect results due to the content of n-3 fatty acids (FA) because marine fats or oils are composed of eicosapentanoic acid (EPA) and dosahexaenoic acid in generally a higher proportion whereas vegatable oils contain linolenic acid (LNA) whose conversion to lon...

POSSIBILITY TO IMPLEMENT THE CONCEPT OF PASSIVHAUS IN RUSSIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Tataru, A. C., Tataru, D., Stanci, A.)

The concept of a ?passive House? has been introduced for the first time in Germany, subsequently being extended and at higher latitudes and different features climatic from those of Germany, in the south, west and south-west of Europe. Passive building has been defined by Wolfgang Feist, Passivhaus Institut, as being the building that demand for heating must not be more than 15 kWh/m? year, and total consumption of primary energy should not be more than 120 kWh/m? year. In this paper we strive to study at the conc...

AEROSPACE ENGINEERING DUES TO GLOBAL SUSTAINABILITY

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Vojvodik, M., Vojvodikova, B., Fojtik, R., Rantuch, P., Kobeticova, H.)

Aerospace engineering is the engineering field concerned with aircraft and spacecraft development and operating. Thus it correspondingly has two major and actually overlapping sectors, as aeronautical and astronautic engineering. Aeronautical engineering was the original term for the field, but as flight technology advanced to include craft operating in outer space as well, this means the field of astronautics, the broader term of aerospace engineering has come since a while into common use. Aerospace engineering,...

INFLUENCE OF MOISTURE ON THE PROPERTIES OF TERNARY GYPSUM-BASED COMPOSITES

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Rehacek, S., Dobias, D., Kolisko, J., Dolezelova, M.)

The article describes behavior of ternary gypsum-based composites, especially the changes of properties caused by the influence of moisture. The ternary mortars are composed from gypsum, hydraulic lime, different types of pozzolan and standard sand. Pozzolans in the mixture react with hydraulic lime and form CSH and CAH phases. Presence of these phases improves resistance of gypsum against the moisture. The way of samples storage affects the development of materials structure and properties of gypsum-based mortars...

FACTORS CONTRIBUTING TO TECHNOSPHERE

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Lipaev, A.A., Alekseeva, L.M., Sabirova, R.H.)

One of the factors looked upon as an intrinsic constituent contributing to the technosphere as a true phenomenon in the development of the humanity is industrialization. Being powered by fossil fuels, it greatly accelerated urbanization and enabled enormous development in agriculture. The latter could not but be the reason for mass migrations of people to cities which in turn created another positive effect ?urbanization? and ?urban metabolism? coined by Abel Wolman in 1965. The model considered the flow of materi...
