MODEL DEVELOPMENT FOR ONLINE MONITORING OF WATER QUALITY IN THE LAKE TYPE RESERVOIR

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Ivanov, Alexander)

Online monitoring of plankton in lake-type reservoirs requires the development of a model which is based on previous information, can assess the current state and predict the concentration of plankton in the future. An improved view of previous periods is possible on the basis of reanalysis techniques. These data can be used as a basis for modeling the profile of wind characteristics and the temperature profile which varies with its influence. A one-dimensional model for lake type reservoir is used in the program ...

Springs are one of the essential part of water suppling system in Rostov on Don. Nearly 60 springs are known to exist in the city. Rostov region is located in the arid climate zone, where there are limited natural resources of fresh groundwater. At the same time, region due to the regional hydrogeological relation is situated at the junction of four artesian basins in their regional parts focused significant resources of fresh pressure water. Springs and wells in Rostov on Don are pumped from the Azov-Kuban aquife...

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Augustyniak, R., Neugebauer, M., Grochowska, J., Solowiej, P.)

Lake water quality determines the possibility of its using for technical purposes (as a source of drinking or industrial water) and for recreational using (swimming, angling, water sports). In modern times the water quality state is deteriorating because of excessive anthropopressure. The attempts of water quality improvement are taken via technical methods implementation. In order to predict the effects of potential restoration actions the great need exists of the models development, which can help to select the ...

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Irimia, O., Tomozei, C., Nedeff, V., Lehadus, M. P.)

Groundwater is one of our most important natural resources. Groundwater is the source of about 33 % of the water that county and city water departments supply to public supply. Statistics show that groundwater is use for more than 90 % of the rural population who do not get their water delivered to them from a county/city water department or private water company. In this sense, groundwater quality plays an invaluable in rural zone plays. This paper aims to identify qualitative status of groundwater in rural zones...

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Dodocioiu, A. M., Buzatu, D.G., Matei, G.)

Water Framework Directive 2000/60 / EC is considered a progressive and innovative legislative measure which should lead to improved of surface water in Europe. One important factor contributing to the impairment of surface water quality is the use of chemical and organic fertilizers, which through runoff or leaching in water table can cause the phenomenon of pollution of surface waters and groundwater. In a river basin, the factors that determine the nutrient loads are: industry, urban sewage, atmospheric depositi...

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Nazarenko, Olesya)

East Donbass is one of the oldest coal mining area of South Russia. The most significant change of surface and groundwater water quality. This study is devoted to the investigation of chemical properties of surface waters. The main source of the contamination of surface and groundwater are industrial and domestic wastewaters, drainage and mine waters. Surface waters within the region have high mineralization and water hardness. Water in springs and wells is unsuitable for potable use due to high salinity and hardn...

SECONDARY POLLUTION IN THE WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE OPOLE CITY

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Klosok-Bazan, I., Kotas, P.)

The introduction of the Minister of Health?s Regulation of 20 April 2010 on the quality of water intended for consumption by people resulted in the duty of testing the condition of water delivered to a consumer. In effect, a change in water quality during its distribution was noticed in many sites. There are many causes of this phenomenon, e.g. water supply system building material, quality of water coming out of the treatment station, failures and processes taking place in the system, for this reason, it is very ...

In the framework of the work, the authors conducted an analysis of the possibilities of modifying the selected rank method to evaluate the groundwater vulnerability to cpollution in the area where a source of contamination is at least partly under the surface and the groundwater interact directly with it. Such an object is among others the CTL Maczki-B?r sand mine, the workings of which are reclaimed with gangue (post-mining waste) from coal mines. The analyses of the groundwater vulnerability to pollution using a...
