THE TIME BEHAVIOR OF SELF COMPACTING CONCRETE WITH FLY ASH

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Badea, Catalin)

Into this paper there are presented physical and mechanical properties of control samples from self-compacting concrete realized with fly ash and silica fume (like powders) and superplasticizer. The slump of fresh self-compacting concrete was 680 mm, L-box h1/h2=0.92 and V-funnel = 12 sec. There were realized prismatic samples with dimensions 10 x 10 x 30 cm. The control samples were kept into laboratory curing conditions. The testing ages were at 28 days and 9 years. At 28 days age, the compressive strengths on p...

MUNICIPAL SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOVERNANCE INDICATOR SYSTEM INNOVATION: INTRODUCTION AND ASSESSMENT

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Kaulins, Janis)

Quantitative supervision of the implementation of planning documents is one of the fundamental elements of good governance and is vital for ensuring sustainable development perspective. The sustainability of a territory may be specifically defined in developmental planning documents as a long-term goal or indirectly emanate from the territorial vision and set of defined measurable objectives. The most effective way to supervise progress towards planned objectives is with the help of the relevant indicator system (...

SUSTAINABLE DESIGN IN GLOBAL ARCHITECTURE

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Fulop, Zsuzsanna)

"Sustainability" is a key term, not only when we talk about ?eco buildings?, but also when we talk about lifestyle and development in general. Widespread awareness of climate change, pollution, depletion of natural resources together with huge amount of technical opportunities on global market have triggered professional demands for architects with advanced skills in design. Present task is not only to create new technical variations, but to re-think architectural design process to find a really complex evaluation...

BUILDINGS MINIMUM ENVIRONMENTAL CRITERIA AND ENERGY ISSUES

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Rebaudengo, M., Fabrizio, E.)

After the adoption of the Law no. 221/2015 and the new Code of Contracts, Legislative Decree no. 50/2016, Italy has become the first European country that has imposed Minimum Environmental Criteria (MEC) thus amplifying the importance of Green Public Procurement (GPP), already widespread in Europe since the late 90's in a totally voluntary way. In Italy, MEC have been approved with specific Decrees by the Ministry of the Environment and concern numerous areas of intervention (mainly as regards the supply of goods ...

TEXTILE REINFORCEMENT IN ULTRA HIGH PERFORMANCE CONCRETE - A SUSTAINABLE MATERIAL COMPOSITION

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Ofner, S., Randl, N., Meszoely, T., Hofer, B.)

Nowadays concrete is the world?s most widely used building material. A decisive constituent is cement, which causes in production nearly 10% of the world?s CO2 emissions. Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC), a new high-tech concrete with an outstanding compressive strength of 4 to 6 times the strength of standard concrete (NSC), is the most advanced building material in reinforced concrete construction and increasingly used in different countries all over the world. Due to its high compressive strength, buildin...

RESOURCES OF THE UNDERGROUND WATERS OF RUSSIA, THEIR USE AND QUALITY

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Belousova, A., Rudenko, E., Zanin, A., Makarova, A.)

As numerous studies show, changes in the environment at the end of the 20th century have become global ones. This means that the buffer capacity of the Earth, and the planetary boundaries have been subjected to a massive impact of the different human activities for several decades. Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, adopted by the UN, is becoming more difficult to fulfill. Chemical pollution directly or indirectly affects the quality of natural resources, including water. Providing the population wi...

RESEARCH OF MODERN METHODS OF CONSTRUCTION BASED ON WOOD IN THE CONTEXT OF SUSTAINABILITY

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Svajlenka, J., Kozloska, M.)

Background: Currently develops a range of new and innovative construction systems, presented as modern methods of construction (MMC), which has the ambition to improve the buildings sustainability throughout their life cycle. Regarding the implementation modern methods of construction in Slovakia, assembled buildings based on wood, also called green buildings, seem to be the most preferred construction system. Methods: In the study, presented in the paper, were searched already built and occupiedfamily houses base...

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF INVESTMENT PROJECTS BETWEEN NECESSITY AND OPPORTUNITY

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-29, Dobrea, R.C., Dima, C., Pacurari, M., Ciobotaru, A.M.)

The performance of investment projects and their impact on the beneficiaries represents a real challenge to the public and private entities, from the perspective of all resources involved and expected results, on all fields. The economic efficiency of investment projects, initially considered, by many others, as one of the main criterion in evaluating projects process, cannot be a real guarantee of performance projects. At present is a need completing the process analysis and with other characteristics such as the...

Current development in the European Union countries may be considered heterogeneous, even though their economic and social similarities. Each country achieves its economic and social goals with different success rate. It is similarly in relation to the complex value such as sustainable development. Evaluation of sustainability and sustainable development is problematic, because of sustainable development (resp. part of it) can be evaluated using the various indicators. It is, for example, the evaluation of sustain...

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Moraru, Ioana)

Contemporary life is characterized by a state of continuous change and that?s why standard solutions are no longer the key to all problems. Like many other fields, architecture seeks new alternatives to overcome the challenges we are facing on daily basis. Sustainability is one of the many issues that concern us, trying to solve some of the problems that globalization generates. On this line, one of the directions is a definition of architecture as landscape: topographical architecture. Topographical architecture ...

CULTURAL SUSTAINABILITY OF HISTORIC LANDSCAPE THROUGH REGENERATION OF POST-MILITARY COMPLEXES.

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Rudnicka-Bogusz, Marta)

Historic military complexes form a separate typological genre, with unique hieratic site plans, stately yet austere stylistics and a multiplex functional program. They form a significant portion of historic landscape in garrison towns, as both material and immaterial heritage. It is essential, that as many of the complexes as possible are preserved to serve as historic links for future generations. Luckily, their innate characteristics predispose them to adaptations for diverse purposes once demilitarized. The pap...
