Experiences from various countries show that without initial state support it is not possible to build basis for applying of t echnologies using renewable energy sources. Presented contribution is orientated to the various mechanisms that are using for support of renewable energy sources. That means st ate regulation in this area generally and basic types of state donation policy in th e frame of European Union and their consequences on the market with renewable energy sources.

Recent renewable energy sources utilization in the Slovak republic represents only 2.6 \% from the total primary energy sources consumption. 27\% of the Slovakian technically utilizable renewable energy sources potential is used, so there still remain enormous unused potential, which comprise 115 775 TJ per year. Technically utilizable Slovakian renewable sources potential is estimated, based on the existed analysis, at 112 636 TJ per year (or 136 421 TJ per year, if we consider hydroelectric power plants with the...

Renewable energy sources (RES) at the Slovak Republic have only 1,6 \% part in general of power consumption. The development of RES utilization in definitely within the priorities and will positively become evident in political economy of Slovak Republic in several spheres: 1. Level increasing of a home energy sources value 2. Decreasing depends on external energy supplies, which currently cover approx.90\% of the total consumption of the primary energy sources. 3. Improvement of foreign market balance (because th...

Total hydroelectric potential of Slovak streams are used more than 70\%-, whereas the average of water energy of energy consumption is 20\%. This result was secured by 21 Great water power stations with a performance advanced than 10 MW. Currently hydroelectric potential of Slovak republic is used approx. 57,8\%-, the potential of Small water power plants approx. 11\% -. [6] The Small Water Power Plants (SWPP) are characteristic by their construction and operation without any negative effect to our environment as ...
