SURFACTANT-POLYMER FLOODING: GEOCHEMICAL MONITORING OF THE PROPERTIES OF FORMATION FLUIDS AT THE IMPACT AREA

(STEF92 Technology, 2023-10-01, Maria Shipaeva, Vladislav Sudakov, Danis K. Nurgaliev, Dinar Mingazov, Anastasia Startseva)

Chemical flooding allows for the improvement of oilfield performance after standard waterflooding processes. Chemical EOR methods modify different properties of fluids and/or rock to mobilize the remaining oil. It is expected that the residual oil will be different in properties than conventional. A new technology is presented to study a surfactant-polymer flooding, based on a periodic sampling and measuring properties of oil and water during 15 months. At each sampling date, 2D reservoir model was built to track ...

ASSESSMENT OF MORPHOMETRIC BLOCKS OF THE TERRITORY AND ESTIMATION OF THEIR CHARACTERISTICS BASED ON TRACER STUDIES

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, Maria Shipaeva, Sofia Salikhova, Danis K. Nurgaliev, Bulat Ganiev, Artur Shakirov)

The hydrocarbon reservoirs in mature regions are extremely complex, each reservoir having its own identity. The value of recoverable geological reserves depends on the data of geological and geophysical studies: determination of heterogeneity and reservoir compartmentalization. Residual oil reserves are concentrated in undeveloped clayey, poorly permeable intervals along the section, the development of which is impossible without research and development. One of such studies is the methods of lineament analysis of...

EVALUATION OF THE APPLICABILITY OF BIODEGRADATION MARKERS FOR IDENTIFICATION OF THE BYPASSED OIL ZONES

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, Danis K. Nurgaliev, Rustam Ziniukov, Vladislav Sudakov, Nil Fakhriev, Aleksandr Averyanov)

The presented work highlights the general geochemical aspects and considers the theoretical basis of the method of geochemical monitoring of oil fields using the indicator of the quantitative ratio of organic compounds and their isomers - isobutane/butane. The object of the study are the microorganisms that can affect gas composition. The purpose of the work is to study the effect of microorganisms on the biodegradation of oil. The peculiarity of the oil composition will be used to search, delineate bypassed oil a...

GEOCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF FORMATION WATER FOR CARBONATE AND TERRIGENOUS TYPE OF RESERVOIRS BASED ON FLUID-ROCK INTERACTION

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, Maria Shipaeva, Dinar Mingazov, Danis K. Nurgaliev, Azat Lutfullin, Artur Shakirov)

The article describes the results of geochemical studies of formation water in the Romashkinskoe oil field of the Republic of Tatarstan. Geochemical monitoring is a good indicator of the origin of natural waters, the method can be used to mark formation waters. The study of an extensive collection of produced water made it possible to trace the change in its geochemical composition depending on the age of formation of the reservoir in the Volga-Ural region. Geochemical studies were carried out in the produced form...

CLIMATE CHANGES OVER THE LAST 13500 YEARS BASED ON LAKE SEDIMENTS STUDIES (LAKE BOLSHOE MIASSOVO, SOUTH URAL, RUSSIA)

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Danis K. Nurgaliev)

We performed petromagnetic, elemental composition and mineralogical investigations of samples from lake Bolshoe Miassovo, Chelyabinsk region, Russia (55°9?59.89?N 60°20?51.82?E). Based on seismoacoustic investigation 5 long (up to 5.3 m) cores were collected by special hydraulical core extractor constructed in institute. For core sampling were choosen places with continuous sedimentation and absence of gas diffusion. Samples for laboratory investigations were selected layer by layer in intervals of 2 cm. The princ...

INTEGRATED INVESTIGATIONS OF LAKE SEVAN BOTTOM SEDIMENTS

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-12-05, Danis K. Nurgaliev)

In August 2018 an expedition was organized to Lake Sevan (Armenia), where seismoacoustic studies and the selection of short cores of bottom sediments for laboratory investigations were carried out. Five seismoacoustic sections revealed a bedding pattern of bottom sediments. The thickness of sediments reaches ~ 14 m. Laboratory studies included: radiocarbon dating, measuring magnetic susceptibility, measuring coercive parameters, obtaining thermomagnetic diagrams, determining the elemental composition of sediments,...

PALEOLOMNOLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS OF LAKE BOLSHOE MIASSOVO (CHELYABINSK REGION, RUSSIA)

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-11-20, Danis K. Nurgaliev)

We performed seismoacoustic and magnetic investigations of samples taken from Lake Bolshoe Miassovo (Chelyabinsk region, Russia) in 2018. Before sampling, seismoacoustic investigations were conducted in order to study stratification in sediments, reconstruct the reservoir?s history and select core locations with undisturbed stratification. A special hydraulic corer was used for taking long core samples. Five cores up to 5 meters long were obtained. For laboratory investigations, all cores have been cut into smalle...
