AN OVERVIEW OF CLIMATIC CHANGES IN ROMANIA SINCE 1951

(STEF92 Technology, 2025-12-27, Marius-Victor B rsan, Diana Dogaru Dogaru, Laura Lupu, Robert Hrițac)

The paper presents a trend analysis in monthly precipitation, air temperature (average, minimum and maximum), air temperature range, potential evapotranspiration, drought and water balance over Romania using data from 156 weather stations. The recently released, freely available RoCliHom dataset has been used for this purpose. Trend analysis was conducted with the nonparametric Mann-Kendall test, as it allows a direct comparison with the vast majority of previous studies on climatic changes in Romania. Our results...

BIOCLIMATIC PROJECTIONS FOR GRAPEVINE DEVELOPMENT IN ROMANIA AND REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA ACCORDING TO THE MPI-ESM1.2-HR MODEL

(STEF92 Technology, 2025-12-27, Laura Lupu, Marius-Victor B rsan, Diana Dogaru)

Romania and the Republic of Moldova have a long-standing tradition of grape cultivation, one of the agricultural sectors that is highly sensitive to climate change. As the growth and development of grapevines are strongly dependent on the regional bioclimatic dynamics, this study presents projected climatic changes over Romania and the Republic of Moldova under three of the latest climate scenarios. The analysis focuses on ten biometeorological indices relevant to grapevine development (e.g. mean annual air temper...

DROUGHT VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT OF MAJOR CROPS ACROSS ROMANIA AND LAND MANAGEMENT IMPLICATIONS UNDER FUTURE CLIMATIC CHANGES

(STEF92 Technology, 2025-12-27, Diana Dogaru, Monica Dumitraşcu, Marius-Victor B rsan, Laura Lupu, Alexandra Vr nceanu)

The recurrence of droughts increased in the past decades and is foreseen to intensify affecting larger areas than today. As agriculture is among the economic sectors most vulnerable to climate change, with drought representing a key challenge for crop productions, this study assesses the probability of yield loss for major Romanian crops such as, winter wheat, maize, sunflower, grape, in response to varying intensities of drought. To achieve this, a probabilistic modeling framework was constructed, integrating the...

SUCCESSIVE TRANSESTERIFICATION OF 2,5-DIACETYL - ISOSORBIDE IN TWO STAGES WITH HYDROCARBON CHAIN IN THE PROCESS FOR OBTAINING OF D-GLUCITOL

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Ileana Cocan, Monica-Viorica Negrea, Ersilia Alexa, Diana Dogaru, Bogdan Radoi)

Polysorbates as hydrophilic surface-active structures are food additives with multifunctional competences (emulsifiers, aerating, wetting, foaming, stabilizing agents) and wide HLB range. The present paper has proposed to know the details of the successive transesterification of 2,5 пїЅ diacetyl пїЅ isosorbide (2,5- Ac2ISB) with hydrocarbon chains (Ra) by successive introducing the different amounts of fatty acids obtained from the vegetal lipid fractions isolated from sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum) and chilli pep...
