At the present stage of development of the biotechnological industry, the most promising objects are enzymes of the oxidoreductase class, which are capable of catalyzing redox processes. One of the most studied enzymes of this class is horseradish root peroxidase. Its immobilization on various carriers allows the biocatalyst to be reused in various technological processes. In recent years, magnetic nanoparticles have been increasingly used as effective carriers of enzymes. In this work, we study the oxidation of 2,...

This paper presents the results of a study of the hydrolysis of microcrystalline cellulose in a subcritical water medium. The influence of temperature, time, cellulose/water ratio, cellulose particle size, and other parameters on the hydrolysis process was studied. The influence on the process of pretreatment of aqueous dispersions of cellulose with ultrasound was studied. It was shown that the optimal processing time is 30 min (~ 150 kJ). Over a given period of time, destruction and partial hydrolysis of the amor...

WO3/ZSM-5 CATALYSTS FOR THE CONVERSION OF MONOSACCHARIDES TO 5-HYDROXYMETHYL FURFURAL AND LEVULINIC ACID

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Olga Kislitsa, Oleg V. Manaenkov, Maxim Grigoriev, Esther Sulman, Mikhail G. Sulman)

In this study, a procedure was developed for the synthesis of WO3-containing catalysts based on zeolites of the ZSM-5 type. Zeolites with different Si/Al ratios and different numbers of acid sites were used: ZSM-5-CVM, ZSM-5-CVN and ZSM-5-Acros. The synthesized catalysts were characterized and tested in the reaction of the conversion of fructose and glucose to 5-hydroxymethylfurfural and levulinic acid. It was shown that the introduction of tungsten (VI) oxide into the composition of ZSM-5 leads to a noticeable in...

INVESTIGATION OF THE LIGNIN HYDROGENOLYSIS PROCESS IN DIFFERENT SOLVENTS

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Esther Sulman)

In this work, we investigated the solvent effect on the process of lignin hydrogenolysis using polymer-based catalyst 3%Ru/HPS. Liquid products of lignin hydrogenolysis process in a variety of solvents include a large number of individual compounds belonging to different classes of organic substances. These products include the substances resulting from the conversion of the solvents, and the typical products of the conversion of lignin (benzene and phenol derivatives). The main derivatives of phenol are methoxyph...

NI IMPREGNATED INTO HYPERCROSSLINKED POLYSTYRENE IN N-METHYL-D-GLUCOSAMINE SYNTHESIS

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Esther Sulman)

Amines are the key intermediates for agricultural, pharmaceutical, textile, polymer industry etc. The common method for the amines production from the fossil resources, in spite of the high yield of the target products, is characterized by the high amount of side toxic products. Nowadays the production of bio-based amines, in particularly the derivatives of sugars, is of the growing interest. This route of amine production results in the minor waste formation and can be considered as a sustainable. Among various r...

POLYMERIC CATALYSTS FOR THE PROCESS OF CELLULOSE CONVERSION INTO AMINES

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Esther Sulman)

Amines play an important role in the modern chemical engineering. It is a key intermediate for agricultural, pharmaceutical, textile, polymer and other fields of industry. Bio-basedamines, e.g. the derivatives of isohexides, are of a great attention. Nowadays, different methods of the synthesis of polyamides, polyimides, polyesters, polyurethanes, and polycarbonates on the base of isohexides are developed. Thus, mono- and diamine derivatives of D-isosorbide are considered to be a prospective feedstock for polyamid...

THE ROLE OF ALKALI METAL COMPOUNDS IN SYNTHESIS OF EFFECTIVE POLYMER-BASED PALLADIUM CATALYSTS OF SELECTIVE HYDROGENATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Esther Sulman)

Pd-catalyzed reactions are one of the most widespread in fine organic synthesis. For example, selective hydrogenation of alkynols is used for production of a large variety of terpenoids and also fat-soluble vitamins. The challenge in hydrogenation of triple carbon-carbon bond using Pd nanoparticles (NPs) is to provide high activity, selectivity and stability of catalytic system. This work is devoted to the investigation of the influence of the type of anion (OH-, CO32-, PO43-), which was introduced in the catalyst...

PD-CONTAINING CATALYSTS IN FATTY ALCOHOLS PRODUCTION

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Esther Sulman)

Among different methods of oil-crop biomass processing two main reactions are allocated пїЅ oil transesterification with methanol and fatty acid deoxygenation. Last decades there is a growing researcherпїЅs interest to the production of fatty alcohols with carbon number 10-18 by selective hydrogenation of carboxylic group of fatty acids. These alcohols can be used in various fields, e.g. pharmaceutical, cosmetic, fine organic synthesis as well as in biofuel industries. In this work, we propose to use polymeric cat...

THE STUDY OF SOLUBILITY OF CARBON MONOOXIDE AND HYDROGEN IN PROPANOL-2 FOR METHANOL LIQUID-PHASE SYNTHESIS

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Esther Sulman)

The solubility of gases in liquid is an important parameter required for the interpretation of rate data in gas-liquid, gas-liquid-liquid and gas-liquid-solid reactions. Gas-liquid mass transfer plays an important role in many industrial processes, e.g. methanol synthesis. The overall rate of gas-phase and gas-liquid phase reactions strongly depends on mass transfer. A large number of solubility data of hydrogen and carbon monoxide in a variety of solvents is available in the literature, but the data on the gas so...

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Esther Sulman, Maxim Grigore, Galina Demidenko, Irina Shkileva, Valentina Matveeva)

Monosaccharides, as well as the other carbohydrates, are used for the production of different chemicals including polyols which are widely used in food, medical, pharmaceutical industries. A large number of catalysts can be applied for these purposes but the main problem of numerous catalysts is instability leading to a high-speed deactivation, active phase leaching and support destruction. So the development of highly active, mechanically and chemically stable catalysts is one of the main tasks for the researcher...
