HISTORICALLY IMPORTANT DISCOVERIES OF PRECIOUS STONES IN THE KRUSNE HORY AND THE CESKE STREDOHORI MOUNTAINS, DEPOSIT PRESENT SITUATION AND PROTECTION

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2009, S. Kasmaee, J. Gholamnejad, A. R. YARAHMADI Bafgh)

The North-Western Bohemia region takes a unique position in the history of mining in the Czech Republic. Several ore districts are situated here, the welfare of which influenced the development of the Czech state in some periods. Some precious stones mining was also significant. Today the North-Bohemian Basin area is known for its largest Czech brown coal deposit. The history of mining has been mainly linked to three large ore districts in the North- Western Bohemia region. Jachymov is the most important one. It u...

THE ESTIMATION OF FE AND P IN LOW GRADE STOCKPILE OF CHOGHART IRON MINE OF IRAN

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2009, S. Kasmaee, J. Gholamnejad, A. R. YARAHMADI Bafghi)

The estimation of important parameters at Choghart mine stockpile is accomplished by sampling specific parameters that allow detection of useful parts of the Low Grade stockpile. Huge amount of low grade broken rocks near the open pit can causes some environmental problem. Therefore, determination of dump parameters became important in this mine. In this research the estimation of Fe and P was fulfilled in low grade stockpile of Choghart. The Estimation of these two parameters (Fe \& P) can be used for mapping the...

A PRACTICAL SHORT-TERM PRODUCTION SCHEDULING MODEL FOR OPEN PIT MINES

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, J. Gholamnejad, A. Y. Bafghi)

Short-term production scheduling determines the sequence of block extraction over time spans of shift, days, weeks or months. The aim of scheduling is to decide which blocks of ore and waste to mine in which time period so that several operational and geometrical constraints can be satisfied simultaneously- like mining and mill capacity, meeting grade requirements, making long-term mine plans operationally feasible, etc. Since the 1960s several operational research based approaches have been developed. In order to...

DESIGNING OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT ALGORITHM FOR UNDERGROUND MINING PROJECTS

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2007, M. Mirmohammadi, J. Gholamnejad, V. Fattahpour, P. Seyedsadri, Y. Ghorbani)

In current paper the purposes of an environmental assessment are described and the method, through which the “Impacting Factors” and “Environmental Components” are determined, is also outlined. Then, according to the definition, possible scenarios, and matrixes of weighting factors, the algorithm which shows the relation between Impacting Factors and Environmental Components is determined. Furthermore, the derivation of matrixes and the method of environmental assessment are described. In order to compare ...

SLOPE STABILITY ANALYSIS OF GOL-E-GOHAR IRON MINE OF IRAN BY USING NUMERICAL METHODS

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2007, K. Shahriar, J. Gholamnejad, F. Samimi Namin)

The Gol-E-Gohar (GEG) Iron ore Complex is located in Kerman province of Iran, and is situated on the Sanandaj-Sirjan metamorphic belt, which has been played a large part in the history of the tectonics of Iran plate margin. Based on the modern exploration activities, six magnetic anomalies in this district have been recognized. Now a large-scale open-pit mine is being developed on this deposit. This paper aims to re-evaluate the pre-designed slope angles of Anomaly 1 of GEG Open pit. In the preliminary design the ...

DETERMINATION OF THE SAFE SLOPE ANGLES IN CHADORMALU IRON MINE OF IRAN USING EXPERIMENTAL, ANALYTICAL AND NUMERICAL METHODS

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2006, A. Jafari, J. Gholamnejad)

Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company (CMMIC) is mining Chadormalu Iron Ore deposit in Yazd province, central Iran by using conventional open pit mining method. The final pit will be excavated to a depth of approximately 225m with a bottom elevation of 1300m above mean sea level. According to the initial design, the inter-ramp slope angle of 55В° with a 30m bench height, a catch bench width of 10m and 70В° slope angle of individual benches were proposed. Mining to date has intersected complex geology and areas ...
