AUTOMATED CALCULATION OF WATER BALANCE OF RESERVOIR

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, Yulia Kuznecova, Anatoly Pozdeev)

The paper presents a calculation of an annual balance between the water inflow and discharge in the Cheboksary hydrosystem reservoir. The calculation is implemented in MathCad. The calculation is based on the principle of identifying the main areas of water use and water consumption, including hydroenegetics, water transport, drinking and industrial water supply, fishery, and recreation. Characteristics of water inflow and discharge by the Cheboksary hydrosystem are calculated. A positive annual balance of the wat...

ANALYSIS OF RIVERBED DEFORMATIONS IN OIL TRUNK LINE UNDERWATER PASSAGES

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Yulia Kuznecova, Anatoly Pozdeev)

The paper studies theoretical and experimental issues of improving scour protection facilities of oil trunk line underwater passages. External influences on the stability of oil trunk line underwater passages were analyzed. Based on the analysis results, the impact of hydraulic processes on riverbed deformations in the underwater passage of the Surgut-Polotsk oil trunk line was evaluated. Also automated calculations of hydraulic and riverbed effects of the bottom soil scour in the Mathcad application environment w...

STUDY OF BAFFLES BASED ON SOFT WATER-FILLED SHELLS IN HYDROSYSTEM TAILRACES

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Yulia Kuznecova)

In hydrosystem tailraces, behind end fixings of spillway facilities, scour basins of considerable depth and length are formed at high rates of the flow. This is associated with the violation of the extreme load mode during the construction and operation of hydrosystems, insufficient design length of fixings in tailraces, and inefficiency of installed baffles. Baffles based on soft water-filled shells are proposed as additional protection facilities of operating hydrosystem tailraces. The morphological analysis of ...
