The river Iskar is the object of study. The development aims to update the technological scheme of the resource of surface water bodies for a new reference climatic period (1991-2020) and estimate the annual average values at the end of each water body. For the study, 20 gauging stations were used, which currently represent the NIMH monitoring network in the catchments of the streams on which the resource is based. In terms of area, the stations cover the whole catchment relatively evenly. For the study, the annua...

ABOUT THE APPLICABILITY OF ECOLOGICAL FLOW METHODOLOGY FOR PILOT DRAINAGE AREAS IN DANUBE RIVER BASIN DIRECTORATE IN BULGARIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2024-11-01, Elena Bojilova, Borislav Vuchkov, Maya Rankova, Plamen Angelov, Radoslava Ivanova)

The research uses monthly water flow in river watersheds within Danube-s river basin - Ogosta, Iskar, Yantra and Rusenski Lom rivers, as pilot basins. The water flow indicators describe river flow regime and hydrological streamflow characteristics. Our article describes the determination of environmental flow limits on surface water abstractions in Bulgaria. Monthly river flow is characterized by annual variability due to climate factors and anthropogenic impacts. Furthermore information from hydrometric stations ...

COMPARISON OF THE RESULTS OBTAINED BY THE PROPOSED METHODOLOGY FOR ENVIRONMENTAL RUNOFF WITH THOSE CALCULATED UNDER THE CURRENT REGULATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2024-11-01, Maya Rankova, Elena Bojilova, Plamen Angelov, Borislav Vuchkov, Р. А. Иванова)

In climate change, drought, and water scarcity, the natural functioning of river systems largely depends on the proper distribution of water resources. Accurate determination of hydrological characteristics is essential for the sustainable management of water resources and provides information on the status and potential of water systems. Water management must be implemented in such a way as to meet the needs of man and the economy. At the same time, measures are taken to protect the quantitative characteristics o...

MODERN METHODS OF DETERMINING OF THE MOMENTS WATER QUALITY. COMPARING THE RESULTS WITH TRADITIONAL METHOD

(STEF92 Technology, 2024-11-01, Plamen Angelov, Maya Rankova, Borislav Vuchkov)

Hydrometric propeller methods, is device that responds and measuring the velocity of the water current at the point where its sensor axis is located. Mechanical hydrometric propellers are widely used in our country, in which the current causes rotation of a screw vane with an angular velocity proportional to the velocity of the current, in this method the depth of the river profile must be taken into account in order to comply with the measurement condition in 1, 2, or 3 points namely 0.2h, 0.6h and 0.8h, h-depth ...
