The objective of this paper is to examine the foundations of green marketing in the existence of a market for organic products. We examined the environmentalist consumption behavior because without consumers interested in organic goods we can not talk about environmental marketing. Because of public awareness regarding the environment, companies have adapted, introducing in their vocabulary terms like "green markets", "green consumers", "green products" and practicing green marketing and environmental marketing. TRANSBOUNDARY POLLUTION – CASE OF NATURAL EASTERN BORDER OF ROMANIA - PRUT RIVER

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2010, C. E. Tureac, A. G. Turtureanu, C. Cretu, A. Grigore, G. Modiga, M. Trandafir)

This paper highlights the fact that environmental issues in the border regions are numerous. These problems in border regions are endemic to many countries. At global scale of the whole planet, the importance of transboundary pollution of the air, water, soil is far from negligible (according to reports submitted to the UN). Almost 50\% of our planet earth (excluding Antarctica) is located in international water collection tanks. In this area about 40\% of world’s population lives, stretching over more than 200 ...

CONSIDERATIONS ON THE ISSUE OF BRAILA PLAIN WATER RESOURCES QUALITY

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2009, C. E. Tureac, A. G. Turtureanu, I. Bordean, A. Grigore, G. Modiga)

The authors present the update stage of Braila Plain water resouces. Within the surface waters, the Buzau, Siret, Calmatui rivers as well as the Danube are included, as they are water suppliers for Braila Plain, in the absence of other important water resources. The lakes are few in number, with a low volume of water and a high chemism. The smalldepth underground waters exist as a continuously ground water layer and the high-depth ones are found especially in the Fratesti layers, but these have a high mineralizati...

BRAILA PLAIN - IMPLICATIONS OF WATER RESOURCES QUALITY ON ENVIRONMENT

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, A. G. Turtureanu, C. E. Tureac)

A significant element characterizing a lasting development in Braila Plain region, but also in any other similar area, would be an environment factor i.e. the water, with an increasing importance when considered against the high dryness background. Generally speaking, both the consumed water and the consumption structure reflect the quality and quantity of water resources and, implicitly, the economic potential of the region at issue. As for Braila Plain, here there is a paradox to be considered : even if the regi...

BRAILA PLAIN - RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, A. G. Turtureanu, C. E. Tureac)

The climate, morphometric and lythological conditions confer certain peculiarities upon the waters resources of the northern-eastern Romanian Plain. One can say about the Braila Plain hydrographic network that it is poor and this is due to the discharge, situated under the value of 1 l/sqkm, but also to the very low relief energy. The allochthone rivers : the Danube, Siret, Buzau and Calmatui are affected by the refief climate conditions and also by the size and the geographic position of the hydrographic basins.
