The paper presents some aspects about the biodiversity of the forest habitats and species adaptations to the ecological conditions on the shore of Danube river. The territory under research is located along the Danube river, in the Southern of Dolj County, between localities Rast and Gighera. Related to the humidity, temperature and soil reaction, the flora of the forest habitats of this region has a hygrophilous, meso-hygrophilous, mesophilous, meso-thermal, and slightly acido-neutrophilus character. Following th...

The tailings resulting from surface excavation mining can turn into areas used for the re-cultivation of various species of plants, which represents, in fact, an ecological reconstruction and rehabilitation of degraded fields. The re-cultivation of tailings can underpin farming or forestry, and the research conducted in this regard recommends using organic and mineral fertilizers in order to provide the necessary nutrients, increase the organic matter content and also improve the soil structure and microbiological...
