INVESTIGATION OF SORPTION PROPERTIES OF FINELY DISPERSED CALCIUM SILICATE IN THE TECHNOLOGY OF EXTRACTION OF HEAVY METAL CATIONS FROM WASTEWATER

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, В. А. Королев, Aleksey Meshandin, В. С. Болдырев, Polina Sukhanova, Julia Averina)

The fact of interaction of calcium silicate with the key elements present in the spent nuclear fuel is established. Nanopowders of synthetic calcium silicate with a given particle size 10, 2 and 0.6 microns were obtained. It was found experimentally that a decrease in the particle size of the calcium silicate powder contributes to an increase in its sorption properties (distribution coefficients and static exchange capacity). If for uranium static exchange capacity in the considered range of powder particle sizes ...

ASSESSMENT OF THE EFFICIENCY ELECTROMOBILE USING IN RUSSIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Julia Averina, Е. Н. Субчева, Andrey Kubatov, Е. Н. Кузин, Anna Shaneva)

The article is devoted to assessing the efficiency of using an electromobile and a car with a fuel cell. Two existing models of the first mass-produced electromobiles were selected for comparison. The relevance of this work is due to the growing requirements for environmental cleanliness of energy carriers used for automobile transport. Obviously, over the coming decades, the main competitors for the mass replacement of traditional motor fuels (gasoline and diesel fuel) will be electricity and hydrogen. This artic...

NANOFILTRATION COMPOSITE MEMBRANES USING LAYERED DOUBLE HYDROXIDES FOR WATER TREATMENT

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Julia Averina, Е. Н. Субчева, Aleksander Cherednichenko, В. С. Болдырев, Valentina Shumova)

Water purification is one of the most urgent tasks for solving global problems of fresh water supply and ecology. Special attention is paid to nanoporous membranes, which can be used to purify water from most of the pollutants, such as metal ions, organic molecules, salts and microbes. The development of highly effective nanoporous membranes for water purification is an extremely urgent task. Nanofiltration membranes made from 2D nanomaterials have a huge potential in desalting and purifying to the characteristics...

DEVELOPMENT AND DESIGN OF A CLOSED WATER USE CYCLE

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Julia Averina)

The organization of a closed cycle of water use is one of the priorities for both recycling water supply systems and wastewater treatment systems of industrial enterprises. Water cooling systems are considered and the possibility of closed water cycle organization is estimated. For cooling systems of circulating water supply of industrial enterprises, depending on the water content, the cooling scheme can be: running, open (evaporative cooling) and close. The technological scheme of water treatment based on the co...

STUDY OF TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC FEATURES OF SOLID OXIDE FUEL CELLS

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Julia Averina)

A characteristic feature of fuel cells is a weak dependence of their energy efficiency on the scale of the installation and the ability to provide the required level of power by simply increasing the number of fuel cells. The use of fuel cells, including in combination with renewable energy sources, can mean a technological revolution in the transport sector and energy, will reduce the negative impact on the environment to a minimum level. In this paper, a review of the current state of problems and trends in the ...
