RESEARCH AND EVALUATION OF RAT BLOOD INDICATORS AT REPEATED INHALATION EXPOSURE BY COPPER (II) OXIDE NANOPARTICLES AEROSOL

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, М. С. Степанков, Marina Zemlyanova, Н.В. Зайцева, А. М. Игнатова, A.Y. Nikolaeva)

The blood parameters of rats under repeated inhalation exposure to copper oxide (II) nanoparticles aerosol (CuO NPs) compared to the microdispersed analogue (CuO MPs) have been studied and evaluated. According to the results of the study of the size, specific surface area, and total volume of pores, it was found that the sample under test is a nanomaterial. Rats were exposed to aerosols of aqueous suspensions of CuO NPs and CuO MPs for 10 days at 4 h/day in an inhalation system with a full-body chamber. The actual...

FORECASTING OF POTENTIAL HAZARD OF COBALT (II, III), ALUMINUM AND MAGNESIUM OXIDES FOR OBJECTS OF ENVIRONMENT AND BIORGANISMS WITH AN ASSESSMENT OF BIOACCUMULATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-12-20, М. С. Степанков, Nina Zaytseva, Marina Zemlyanova, А. М. Игнатова)

Based on the nanomaterials market research, the global production of cobalt (II, III) oxide (Co3O4), aluminum oxide (Al2O3) and magnesium oxide (MgO) nanoparticles is large-scale (> 100 tons/year), which leads to their contamination of environmental objects and accumulation in organisms. Research and scientific forecasting of the potential hazard and the features of the accumulation of Co3O4, Al2O3, and MgO nanoparticles have been carried out. According to the research results of the physical properties of the tes...

SPECIFYING THE PERMISSIBLE DAILY EXPOSURE TO N-NITROSAMINES BY ALIMENTARY INTAKE WITH FOOD USING EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-12-20, П.З. Шур, Dmitrii V. Suvorov, Marina Zemlyanova, Sergey E. Zelenkin)

More sensitive methods to determine chemicals in food enable us to assess the contaminant danger in the product. It is of help when evaluating the speed and conditions of their formation in the food and studying long-term carcinogenic and acute toxic effects on the body. The results of exposure to contaminants on the body as biomarkers of the effect in a controlled experiment on laboratory animals and the further use of the results obtained in the risk assessment might serve as conditions for establishing or revie...

STUDY AND ASSESSMENT OF ACCUMULATION AND TOXICITY OF CALCIUM OXIDE NANOPARTICLES INGESTED BY ORAL ADMINISTRATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Nina Zaytseva, Marina Zemlyanova, М. С. Степанков, А. М. Игнатова)

The research and evaluation of calcium oxide nanoparticles? (CaO) accumulation and toxicity when ingested orally were carried out. The results, obtained after the study of CaO nanopowder by scanning electron microscopy method, demonstrate, that a large proportion of particles in its composition have a size of up to 100 nm, a rounded shape and a smooth surface, while the microparticles of the chemical analog have a cubic shape with a rough surface. According to the death rate, LD50 values were calculated for male W...

THE AGGREGATE STABILITY OF NANOSIZED COPPER OXIDE PARTICLES IN THE ENVIRONMENT

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-12-20, Н. В. Зайцева, Marina Zemlyanova, А. М. Игнатова, М. С. Степанков)

Being released into the environment, the nanosized particles are present in it in the form of a colloid. At the same time, the colloid has an ability to change its properties, including its dimensionality, depending on the physical conditions, as well as composition of the dispersing medium. Nevertheless, this circumstance is irrelevant when assessing the risk associated with the spread of nanosized particles in the environment. The conditions under which the colloid retains its property of nanoscale dimensionalit...
