HYDROGEOLOGICAL CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE QUATERNARY COVER IN THE CENTRAL PART OF THE MOST BASIN

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2010, L. Zizka, J. Halir)

Hydrogeological features of the quaternary sediments lies in different assumption for the emergence of freatic accumulations of groundwater and the ability to power or, conversely, to some extent seal underlying aquifers. Effect of the opencast mining on activities of quaternary sediments is significant and consists primarily in a drainage effect. In places, where the overburden works crossed saturated parts of the quaternary cover, there is a sudden drainage of aquifers. This water vents are regularly cause unres...

USING PORE PRESSURE SENSORS TO MONITOR THE MOVEMENT OF WATER LEVEL CHANGES IN THE BODY OF RADOVESICE DUMP

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2010, J. Halir, L. Zizka)

The submitted paper describes general data about geology, hydrology and hydrogeology of Radovesice dump. There are eleven hydrogeological monitoring objects in the area of interest. Monitoring of the water level in these objects is proceeding every month. Hydrogeological objects are situated to the aquifers inside the dump body and close to the dump floor. Between January 2009 was realized the new monitoring object with six pore pressure sensors. The submitted paper shows particularly our experiences with the eval...

GEOLOGICAL MODEL AND THE SIMULATION OF THE GROUNDWATER FLOWING IN THE QUATERNARY SEDIMENTS

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2009, L. Zizka, J. Halir)

Submitted paper describes collector of the quaternary sediments and the simulation of the groundwater in this collector. The interest area is situated to the central part of the North Bohemian Brown Coal Basin in the Czech Republic. There is one of the biggest coals opencast mine called CSA in the Czech Republic. The groundwater flow in the quaternary sediments brings in consequence great stability problem of the upper overburden cuts. We decided to construct the three dimensional geological model of the quaternar...

HYDROGEOLOGICAL QUESTIONS OF RADOVESICE DUMP IN TERM OF ITS FOUNDATION AND SUBSEQUENT RECULTIVATION ACTIVITIES

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2009, J. Halir, L.

Monitored values, atmospheric precipitation and configuration of surface streams create comprehensive view on the hydrogeological system of the Radovesice dump.

ISSUE OF THE CHANGES OF A WATER REGIME RESULTING FROM THE MINING ACTIVITY IN THE WESTERN PART OF THE NORTH BOHEMIAN BROWN COAL BASIN

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2008, L. Zizka, J. Halir)

The authors intent to give a compact overview in this article of the hydrological and hydrogeological circumstances of dump bodies in the western part of the North Bohemian Brown Coal Basin and their changing in the area of interest from the beginning of mining activity till now. There are morphologically important dump bodies of Prunerov, Merkur and Brezno in the area of interest. Some significant surface watercourses had to be relocated in the past at the same time as the dump bodies were being built and brown c...

USE OF EROSION MODEL IN RECLAMATION AND REGENERATION OF THE AREA AFFECTED WITH MINING

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2006, T. Lang, M. Rehor, J. Halir)

ATLAS DMT software contains a set of suitable application tools. One of them is the EROZE tool (Erosion), which allows the calculation of the long-term loss of soil from the area i.e. soil lost. The EROZE tool uses for the calculation a quantity effect of water erosion caused lost soil, so called universal equation (Wischmeier - Smith). It is possible to combine the EROZE tool with the other application modules of the ATLAS DMT software, therefore it offers a lot of the possibilities for the practical utilization....

USE OF PHYTODECONTAMINATION PROCESS IN REGENERATION MEASURES TO DECREASE CONTENT OF UNDESIRABLE MATTERS IN DISCHARGED MINING WATERS OF THE NORTH BOHEMIAN BROWN COAL BASIN

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2005, J. Halir)

The former mine Obr\'ancЕЇ M\'\iru and its inner dump is the area of interest situated in the North-bohemian Brown Coal Basins at the North-western border of the Czech Republic. In the course of the mine opening and continuous operation the hydrogeological conditions of the outer environment were significantly impacted or totally changed by previous long-term, first underground, later opencast coal mining. At the turn of the 20th and 21st century abundant effluents of underground waters with low pH and high conten...
