(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Slaviša Trajković, Mladen Milanović, Dragan Milićević, Milan Gocić)

Increasing in air temperatures, changes in the precipitation pattern and increased frequency of extreme weather events represent the main characteristics of climate changes in Serbia. Climate changes, according to their characteristics, affect the society, the various sectors of economy and the natural environment. Based on the direct dependence of agricultural production on the climate state, and therefore on climate changes, the agricultural sector represents the most vulnerable sector of economy. In order to de...

LAYER COUNTING AND ISOTOPIC ANALYSIS OF THE RECENT BOTTOM SEDIMENTS OF THE GLACIAL LAKE KUCHERLA (RUSSIA, GORNY ALTAI).

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-12-05, Andrey Darin)

The glacial lake Kucherla is located in the Altai Mountains at an altitude of 1790 meters above sea level. We use the 112 cm core obtained in March 2018 from the deepest part of the lake (45 m) for the study. In the process of coring, special attention was paid to the preservation of the upper layers of the bottom sediment (water - sediment boundary). Bottom sediments of the lake contain visual layers with a thickness of 1-3 mm. We count the layers using photographs of the optical sections. Counting the layers and...

THEORETICAL BASICS OF THE AIR QUALITY MONITORING FOR URBAN AREAS: THERMODYNAMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF ATMOSPHERIC POLLUTION

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-12-05, Aleksandr Khaustov)

Urban air pollution is caused by a combination of different sources. Their contribution to the air quality must be evaluated based on quite reliable data collected by the optimal net of the monitoring points. Under these conditions, the data on special marker compounds are to be obtained. But the selection of marker compounds and optimal places for control points requires to justify the distribution pathways of the pollutants. Thus, it is necessary to study the mechanisms of the accumulation of marker compounds in...

PERSPECTIVE OF DECREASING OF ROAD TRAFFIC POLLUTION IN THE CITIES

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Andrii Galkin)

The development of measures to improve the transport networks of cities require studying the patterns of changes in their main parameters of traffic flows after the implementation of these activities. Investments in urban transportation networks should base on accurate methods of assessing the changes in the social-economic and ecological performance of transportation networks, due to the factors affecting them. The development of such methods is possible basing on patterns of changes in the characteristics of roa...

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Andrey Kokoulin, Dmitriy Kiryanov)

Emissions of industrial plants contain a considerable quantity of different chemical components. These include ash, soot, smoke, sulfates, nitrates, oxides of metals and other solid components. The size of dust particles emitted by enterprises are defined by the process environment and the composition of raw materials used. Particle fractions less than 10 microns (PM10) and less than 2.5 microns (PM2.5) can penetrate to the upper and lower respiratory tract. Both short and long-term exposures of fine dust particle...

Interior conditions in closed spaces (housing, offices, vehicles) were for a long period of time focused on the thermal comfort. With the awareness that people spend a good amount of time inside these spaces and with the increase in life quality, it was considered an additional problem the ensuring of a proper indoor breathable air quality (by limiting the concentrations of harmful released substances). It was demonstrated that the interior pollution of those spaces primarily depends on two factors: interior harmf...
