ACTUAL PROBLEMS AND DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS OF NATURAL RESOURCES OF THE RUSSIAN ARCTIC

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Oksana Barzut)

There have occurred significant changes in the world political stage over the last more than 20 years. Events of the recent decades have changed territory, economic, social, natural resource and environmental situation in Russia. Nowadays up to 70% of territory of the Russian Federation, nearly half of northern land areas of the globe are regarded as territory of the nordic region and the Arctic region. The notion ?Arctic region? (?Arctic zone?) has no distinct definition, it is frequently equated with the notion ...

The development of methods for automatic preprocessing of observational data of small-aperture seismic arrays that precede the detection and identification of seismic events by the method of waveform cross-correlation is considered. Preprocessing is based on adaptive channel selection. The methods developed by us provide for the calculation of the quality metrics of the seismic channel by means of spectral and amplitude analysis of records. The selection of channels is based on the correspondence of the quality of...

AIR POLLUTION FROM POLISH FLEET FISHING CUTTERS

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, C. Behrendt)

The adoption and implementation of the strict provisions regarding the marine environment by the Maritime Maritime Organisation (IMO) resulted in imposing the limits for the SOx, NOx, and CO2 as the exhaust gas components. However, the limitations do not refer to fishing cutters/vessels. Given the number of the European fishing fleet, operating at the ECA areas, it should be expected that the limitations related to this group of vessels are implemented. In order to determine the degree of threat to the environment...

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Krzysztof Nalepa)

In ventilation systems, ground heat exchangers are becoming more and more popular, which can be considered as a passive air-conditioning system. Two types of heat exchangers are used: with a membrane separating ventilation air from the ground and membrane-less. The air preparation system described below is designed to simulate the temperature change conditions corresponding to seasonal changes. It was proposed to use a heat transport system using Peltier modules. As a result, it was possible to reduce or increase ...

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Benedict Oprescu)

Energy efficiency of buildings is one of the directions for implementing a sustainable community development program. The purpose of this paper is to present a calculation algorithm for the transfer of thermal energy between buildings. In stationery regime, this problem is reduced to solving Laplace's accomplishment with the given frontier conditions (Dirichlet's problem). For the general case, it is not known the analytical solution of these problems. Contemporary computing tools solve this problem using numerica...

ALIZARINE RED S TEST AND IMAGE ANALYSIS AS DOLOMITIZATION DEGREE INDICATORS FOR ZECHSTEIN LIMESTONE CARBONATES

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Adam Fheed)

Carbonate rocks, bearifng the majority of world?s hydrocarbon reserves often exhibit variable lithology. In carbonates, different proportions of calcite and dolomite, accompanied by other minerals can be expected. Dolomitization of carbonate rocks usually leads to porosity enhancement, since dolomite crystals occupy smaller volume in comparison to calcite. This paper considers the integration of Alizarine Red S staining method and image analysis in order to qualitatively state the content of both calcite and dolom...

AN ANALYTICAL APPROACH FOR PROPPED FRACTURE CONDUCTIVITY

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Tamás Lengyel)

The purpose of hydraulic fracturing is to stimulate the well so as to significantly improve its performance. To achieve this, a fracture is created, which is then propped open with a propping agent. The success of this process depends largely on the fracture conductivity, which is the product of the fracture width and the apparent permeability of the proppant within the fracture. After hydraulic fracturing, well productivity is definitely affected by the interaction between the proppants and the fracture surface. ...

ASSESSING THE BIOLOGICAL YIELD WITH LAND EQUIVALENT RATIOS (LER) OF SIX VARIANTS WITH MIXED CULTURE OF CORN (ZEA MAIS) AND LEGUMES

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Antonín Kintl)

This paper presents the first year of the field experiment to evaluate the possibility of growing corn (Zea mays ssp. mays) in mixed culture (MC) with selected leguminous species. The main objective was to monitor the influence of MC agrotechnology on the yield of maize, individual leguminous crops and evaluation of biological yields through using the Land Equivalent Ratio (LER) for each variant of experiment. The selected legumes plant and corn were grown separately like sole crop (SC) or in MC (legumes and plant...

ASSESSMENT OF AIR POLLUTION BY EPIPHYTIC MOSSES AND LICHENS

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Г. В. Симонова)

Lichens are widely used in studies of identification of various types of natural and anthropogenic pollution. As for mosses, they accumulate heavy metals and rare-earth elements. It makes them applicable for studies of a territory with long-term man-made pollution of the atmosphere. To evaluate the atmospheric air pollution in Tomsk and Prokopyevsk (Russia, Siberian region), the following two comparative analyzes were made in this work. Firstly, the elemental compositions of ash residues of epiphytic mosses and li...

ASSESSMENT OF BIOFUEL PRODUCTION EFFICIENCY ON THE AGRICULTURAL FARMS IN ROMANIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Nicoleta Mateoc-Sîrb)

In Romania, most agricultural farms are subsistence farms and have to face two major problems: lack of capital and impossibility to sell their own production on the market. In the farm production costs, a significant share is represented by the fuel costs (Diesel oil); that is why the authors of this paper evaluated the possibility to lower the costs on the agricultural farms by producing biofuels for the farm own needs. The research work took place at the Banat University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary M...

ASSESSMENT OF ECOLOGICAL STATE AND ECOLOGICAL RELIABILITY OF THE LOWER SECTION OF THE DNIEPER RIVER

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, I. Shakhman)

Ecological state of the Lower Section of the Dnieper River was estimated by method of calculation of integrated index on the basis of monitoring over the years 2013?2016. Self-purification potential and capability of restoration in time and space (along the river stream) of the aquatic ecosystem of the lower section of the Dnieper River was established. The method for assessing the quality of surface water by hydrochemical parameters in accordance with the fishery standards as the most sensitive to changes of the ...
