INVESTIGATION OF CRUSTAL DEFORMATIONS BY THE MEANS OF DIRECTLY DEFINED SPATIAL CHORDS – POSSIBILITY OR PREDETERMINANCY

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2009, S. Gospodinov, P. Gancheva)

The possible effect of the reductions to the measured distances between the points in a geodynamic geodetic network on the reliability of the subsequently calculated deformations has been analyzed. Experimental investigations on the basis of doubly measured spatial chords from the real network and their analogues in UTM-projection have been planned and implemented. Reduction adjustments have been indisputably found to lead to distortion of the deformation model.

Periodic thermal processes and periodic temperature fields are of widespread occurrence in nature and technology. In nature they are at a large conditioned by periodic processes, such as the Earth’s one year period orbital motion, its diurnal rotation, etc. In conductive heat transfer mechanism daily variations in temperature almost decay in a layer about 1 meter thick and annual variations do it in a 18-21meters thick layer. Organizing of mining information on base the type of major minerals, geological setting, origin of the forming , and situation of the active and abandoned mines basically leads...

QUANTITATIVE ESTIMATION OF NATURAL AND ANTHROPOGENIC IMPACT ON VALUES OF SOME HYDROCHEMICAL PARAMETERS OF WATER QUALITY OF THE RIVER KURA IN AREA OF SOME LARGE SETTLEMENTS

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2009, N. Kekelidze, N. Buachidze, T. Jakhutashvili, M. Chkhaidze, L. Mtsariashvili, N. Khikhadze)

Natural sources of water, especially fresh water resources, are of significant importance for the population of each country. One of the major problems of the research of water state is the determination of influence of anthropogenic impact factors on water quality. In the given work there is executed statistical processing of the existing base of longterm historical data of the River Kura (Mtkvari) water quality parameters (some physical-chemical parameters and the main ions) for the period of 1980–1989, and th...

QUARTZ SAND DEPOSITS AND THEIR SUITABILITY FOR USAGE IN DIFFERENT INDUSTRIAL BRANCHES: THE EVALUATION OF BARTIN – CAKRAZ DEPOSITS IN NORTHWESTERN TURKEY

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2009, T. A. Kepekli, M. Kumral, M. Budakoglu, F. Yavuz, E. Yilmaz)

\cCakraz district of Bartın province in northwestern Turkey contains wide deposits of quartz sand. Regional geology consist of Lias aged carbonated claystones of Himmetpaşa formation, Barremian aged limestone, dolomitic limestones of Zonguldak formation and Aptian aged sandstone – carbonated sandstones of Kilimli formation. \cCakraz district quartz sand deposits are hosted in Himmetpaşa formation and usually occur as wide lenses in the host rocks. In this study major and minor element chemical analysis, petro...

REASONS OF DROUGHT IN KONYA BASIN AND REQUIRED PRECAUTION WHICH WILL BE TAKEN

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2009, G. Gocmez)

Konya Basin has wide area which 62.000 km2 and has important water potential. However water reserves decreasing in basin recent years. Groundwater levels are decreasing for global warming, scarcity of rains, unconscious usage, plant cover, uncontrolled illegal wells and conditions of basin coming near drought. Climatic data are changing because of global warming in Konya Basin. Average rain is 280,8 mm and this is very low. Drought period is living since 1998 in basin. Rain quantity of 2007 is less than average of...

RECONSTRUCTION PLAN APPLICATION TOOLS AND URBAN RENEWAL

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2009, H. Cagla, S. Akkus, T. Ayten, F. Basciftci, I. H. Cicek, F. Uysal)

Urbanization in many aspects in the process of social change and forming has its own distinct features. Especially urbanisation in the developing countries like us has been experienced a process including both traditional and modern institutions and socioeconomic structures. The most important component on implementation of the plans which prepared to redirect the development is plan implementation tools. In this way, while the plan application was being provided, the equal share of urban income can be given by th...

RECYCLING OF FOUNDRY DUST IN FOUNDRY PROCESS

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2009, A. Pribulova, P. Gengel)

Dusts arise in every step of foundry process. A lot of dust create by mould sands and core sands preparation. Their composition depend on used binder. The main compound of these dusts is SiO2 and by mould sands with organic binder it is carbon too. A melting process is connected with formation of flue dust, its composition depends on charge composition. Cupola furnaces, electric arc furnaces and induction furnaces are used in foundry. The most quantity of dust is produced from cupola furnace. It is very fine-grain...

RECYCLING OF RETURN MATERIAL IN DIE CASTING TECHNOLOGY

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2009, J. Malik, A. Pribulova)

Return material consists of gating, risers and residues from cold chamber, defective castings and another residues from die casting. This material has to be degreased from the fatty and separating agents that are usually of oil origin. In common praxis the clean and contaminated material is put in to melting furnace, it is melted and new alloys are added in the form of small pieces. Within the frame of experiments the influence of contaminated return material in the charge on quality die castings was observed. The...
