SPATIAL DATA AND ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF THE PRICES OF AIRLINES OPERATING THE BUCHAREST TEL-AVIV LINE

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Sebastián Makó)

Competition in air transport is growing and is a significant factor influencing airlines in the development of the strategy. In this article, we analyse the Bucharest-Tel-Aviv line which is operated by three airlines Tarom, EL AL and Blue Air, which are not allied and have no bilateral agreements. These companies are therefore direct competitors, and in our analysis, we are more closely examining their pricing policy over the reference period. By analysing the data we compared the possibilities of the aforemention...

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, E. Sermet)

The Lublin Coal Basin (LCB) is situated in the eastern part of Poland. Bituminous coals occur in Carboniferous Layers under the thin overburden built from Jurassic, Cretaceous and Neogene sediments. Most attractive seams (8 -12 to 18 balanced seams), with the mean thickness of about 1,3 ? 1,7 m (rarely under 2 ? 3 m) appear deep, most often at depth 750 ? 1000 m. They are cut by rare net of faults. Within the surface 1 200 km2 eleven deposits were documented, of which the only one is exploited. Total resources of ...

STUDY PROTECTED NATURE AREAS IMPLICATION TO ECOLOGICAL STABILIZATION NEAR PORT OF BRONKA

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Valery Mikheev)

Construction and subsequent operation of port complexes leads to increased anthropogenic load on coastal and marine areas. An effective compensatory measure for load reduction is the organization in the neighboring parts of the shores of protected nature areas. We present the study results of the impact of nature protected areas to stabilize the ecological situation in the anthropogenic transformed coastal zone on the example for the port of Bronka, commissioned in 2015. SUN-MOON TIDES AND INDUCED SEISMICITY AT THE MINES IN THE KHIBINY MASSIF (NE OF THE FENNOSCANDIAN SHIELD)

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Dmitry Zhirov)

It is known that the solar-moon tides (SMT) influence often serves as a trigger releasing seismic energy in a prepared area of the earth's crust. The regular increase in the number of earthquakes during the syzygy and perigee was empirically determined at the end of the 19th century by A. Perret [1]. The tidal force reaches its highest value when the perigee coincides with syzygy, which occurs once a year. The such pattern is observed for rock bursts (RB) also. However, it should be noted that the most tide influe...

According to the mineral composition, they belong to the graywacks and are composed of quartz grains, feldspars, effusive fragments, etc. The study of their composition and structure was carried out in order to identify the factors of localization of oil and bituminous substances. However, mineral particles of pelitic and smaller dimensions remained practically un...

TIME SERIES MODEL APPLIED TO PREDICT THE WIND POWER ENERGY PRODUCTION

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Irina Meghea)

Wind power, via wind turbine, transforms mechanical energy to electrical energy. It is an alternative to burning fossil fuels, it is plentiful, renewable, widely distributed, clean, produces no greenhouse gas emissions during operation, consumes no water, and uses little surface of land. The net effects on the environment are far less problematic than those of fossil fuel sources. This paper proposes a forecasting model based on time series technique for wind power energy generation. The increasing use of renewabl...

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Richard Djimasbe)

The purpose of this research is the treatment of Domanik shale oil (DSO) by supercritical water conditions. The experiments were carried out at 400 oC and with different residence times at 140, 300 and 480 min. The DSO is powdered and mixed with distilled water then loaded in the batch reactor and they were heated until reach the desired conditions at 400 °C and of 265.9 bars. The results reveal a great dependence of the product yield and quality at the residence time. Similarly, the obtained products were analyze...

UPGRADING OF TATARSTAN HEAVY CRUDE OIL USING COFe2O4-NANOPARTICLES CATALYST AT 300oC

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Muneer A. Suwaid)

At present, heavy oil and natural bitumen in supplying the world?s demand for fuels and petrochemical feedstock is increasing, because of the reduction of light traditional oil reserves. Heavy oil is characterized by its high viscosity, which creates difficulties in it?s productions as well as transportations to refineries. Currently there are several ways to reduce viscosity of heavy oil to facilitate the extraction process. One of the most important methods is steam injection, but with the passage of time, this ...

USE OF A 3D GROUND-PENETRATING RADAR FOR DETECTION OF BURIED INERT EXPLOSIVE DEVICES

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Áurea Madureira-Carvalho)

A dangerous problem that many countries have to face is the existence of buried explosive devices, responsible for high numbers of civilian fatalities. Their detection and removal are therefore mandatory, which has led in recent years to the development of different techniques that can ensure safer and more efficient demining operations. Geophysical techniques have been employed, since allow ground search in a non-invasive, rapid and cost-effective way, with special interest being given to ground penetrating radar...

USE OF AN EJECTOR-CAVITATOR FOR EFFICIENT TREATMENT OF SHIP BALLAST WATER

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Dmitry Mizgiryov)

The article discusses an urgent problem of designing systems for ship ballast water (BW) treatment ensuring high efficiency at low power consumption and small mass and size. Transportation of invasive organisms with ballast water presents a serious danger for the world ocean. According to the International Marine Organization (IMO), the BW global turnover reaches 12 billion tons annually. A number of species of aquatic organisms transferred daily with ballast water exceeds 7,000. Many of them not only survive in b...

USE OF HYDROGEN IN TRANSPORT

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Jiří Machač)

Nowadays, when the whole world is increasingly engaged in environmental protection, it is necessary to come up with a fuel alternative for transport, which means generally abandoning the use of non-renewable resources (fossil fuels), as they are one of the many factors influencing the emergence of greenhouse gases and its associated global warming. In today's Europe, pressure is being put mainly on automotive companies, to search for sources other than conventional fuels. At present, there is a big boom in the are...

The inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) is recognized as a robust method for the determination of different elements in liquid and solid samples. However, for metals determinations from solid samples, digestion is required in order to dissolve the analytes into liquid solution. It was the aim of this paper to validate the ICP-OES method for determination of metals from zeolite samples after acid digestion. The suitability of three digestion procedures using wet digestion with mineral...

VISUALIZATION AND RECORD METHODS FOR THE INITIATION OF AIR-METHANE EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERES

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Adrian Bogdan Șimon-Marinică)

The cause of the explosion is the thermal energy delivered by the flammable/ fuel ignition source. The action of the ignition source on the flammable medium can be direct or indirect. The most common of the direct sources of ignition are open flames and electric and mechanical sparks. These sources release their energy into the environment, which, if it contains flammable substances in appropriate proportions, is initiated. This is followed by a chain of fuel oxidation reactions and by the propagation of a flame f...
